Armenian national cuisine
Armenian cuisine is an attraction of the country and is considered one of the oldest in Asia and the oldest in the South Caucasus. Its characteristic features were formed during the millennia. Special respect enjoyed meat dishes - "khorovats", "ikibir", "kyufta".
Everyone knows Armenian Dolma - minced meat and rice wrapped in grape leaves or cabbage. A special place in the Armenian kitchen occupy the specially treated and dried meat - basturma and passing heat treatment raw smoked meat - sudjukh. Traditional national gata, halva, sudjukh with nuts, dried fruit variety will never be forgotten by nobody. Lavash - traditional thin bread, cooked in a tandoor, is the pride of the Armenians.
