Vorotan River
Vorotan River originates in Artsakh and flows into the river Araz. The length of this mountain river 178 km.
Many attractions are located near the river Vorotan, such as the Monastery of Tatev, Big Desert Tatev, Vorotnavank, Sisavank, as well as natural wonders such as Shaki waterfall.
The area around the river is rich in mineral springs, as a result of the impact which formed beautiful stalactites. Some sources are located right under the bridge and fall into the river Vorotan, because of which the river becomes more turbulent, and affluent. At first glance, it seems like a shallow river flowing under the bridge, but looking from the other side, we are already seeing a raging torrent. Most likely this particular feature can be explained by the unusual name of the bridge.
